How to play Maze Adventure

Open Maze Adventure, check the instructions and begin a round. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Use the example below to understand a decision. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

A useful comparison

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

Controls

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

A useful example

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Notice the change in the playing area.

Watch out for this

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. Check the rule before repeating the action. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
